To Whom It May Concern:

We at Ivar's Seafood Bars wish to briey tell
you about our partnership with Port Jobs over the
41/2 years that we have operated one of
our highest volume Ivar's restaurants in Sea-Tac Airport.

The programs under the umbrella of Port Jobs have
proven valuable to us as a business far
beyond their primary functions at "Airport Jobs". Certainly, as an employer, the job placement
services have been helpful to us, in no small part because these folks assist
many job seekers in
our community in nding rewarding and stable employment. Most of
our key personnel at Sea-
Tac have found us through Airport Jobs. Airport Jobs has operated job fairs that have been
hugely successful events, several times each year for job seekers and employers. The simple fact
that the folks at Airport Jobs know all of the "workings of the airport" has been invaluable
for
both job seekers and businesses within the airport community, making the
processes much more
easily navigated than were they not available.

Were the "job placement" contributions of Port Jobs all that their services offered, that would in
and of itself be sufcient in supporting
us as an employer at Sea-Tao. Our viewpoint is that it is
the many other programs that Port Jobs offers that make it
a progressive and vital contributor to
the successes of the business environment at Sea-Tao. Airport University has been a great
development tool above and beyond what we offer internally at Ivar's. The assistance to English-
Second Language applicants and employees has aided
many on our team. The United Way free
tax preparation services have been much appreciated each
year by our team members. Other
programs such as access to nancial services and transportation for low-income workers have
also been shared with our team at Sea-Tac.

In a nutshell, we believe that the programs and people at Port Jobs
are key to the vibrancy and
health of the Sea-Tao, Seattle, and King County communities. The impact that these folks have
on the people and businesses of these communities is not a budget-cut worthy
"nicety", but rather
an essential and supportive contribution to all. We believe that Port Jobs
ought to be maintained
as a vital "cog in the Sea-Tao wheel", one that would be sorely missed.

Please feel free to contact either one of us should
you wish for any further feedback. We
appreciate the opportunity to speak on behalf of the Port Jobs program and team!
