Commissioners,

I write today to lend my voice to those who recognize the Port of Seattle's involvement in the Pacific Maritime Magazine and Port Security
Summit held at Bell Harbor Conference Center in late May of this year.

The Port's participation in this important maritime gathering demonstrates your ongoing commitment to balancing security and economic
resiliency.

As the major maritime agency in the region, the Port must act as a leader in ensuring the safety of those of us involved in the physical
movement of marine cargo. Your support of initiatives like this summit is a clear demonstration of the leadership role the Port of Seattle plays
in regional trade.

On behalf of the Puget Sound Ports Council, Maritime Trades Department AFL-Clo I applaud you for your efforts in nurturing maritime
security and economic resiliency in these difficult times.

Sincerely,

Vince O'Halloran, President
Puget Sound Ports Council
Maritlme Trades Department AFL-Clo
