3808 Port Personal Property 2023 Delegation
Item: 10c_reso Meeting Date: November 29, 2022 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 WHEREAS, the voters of King County, pursuant to the provisions of enabling 15 legislation adopted by the legislature of the State of Washington, Chapter 92, Laws of 1911, 16 RCW 53.040.010, authorized and approved at a special election held in King County on the 5th 17 day of September 1911, the formation of a port district co-extensive with King County to be 18 known as the Port of Seattle; and 19 20 21 22 23 24 PORT OF SEATTLE RESOLUTION NO. 3808 A RESOLUTION of the Port of Seattle Commission authorizing the Executive Director to sell and convey port personal property in 2023 in accordance with RCW 53.08.090 with a value not greater than $23,000 and repealing Resolution No. 3797, dealing with the same subject. WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle was thereupon established as a port district and has since been and now is a duly authorized and acting port district of the State of Washington; and WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle owns personal property and, from time to time, may sell or convey such property pursuant to RCW 53.08.090 and RCW 39.33. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle as follows: 25 Section 1. The Port Commission of the Port of Seattle hereby delegates to the Executive 26 Director of the Port of Seattle the authority to sell and convey port personal property of a value 27 established annually by resolution. 28 Resolution No. 3808, 2023 Conveyance of Port Personal Property Page 1 of 2 29 Section 2. The value of Port personal property that may be sold and conveyed by the 30 Executive Director in 2023, in accordance with Section 1, shall be $23,000.00 or less, per 31 occurrence. 32 Section 3. Pursuant to RCW 53.08.090, the port commission may annually renew the 33 Executive Director’s authority under this resolution and adjust the property value limit under 34 Section 2 based on the governmental price index established by the Washington State 35 Department of Revenue. 36 Section 4. Resolution No. 3797, dealing with the same subject, is hereby repealed. 37 ADOPTED by the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle, at a duly noticed meeting held 38 this 29th day of November, 2022, and duly authenticated in open session by the signatures of the 39 Commissioners voting in favor thereof and the seal of the Commission. 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 50 51 Port of Seattle Commission Resolution No. 3808, 2023 Conveyance of Port Personal Property Page 2 of 2
