Background
Resolution 3605 passed on August 26, 2008
Strengthened the Commission's relationship with the Chief
Executive Officer
Provided improved oversight of the Port's capital
construction programs
Clarified when and how staff members must gain the
body's approval on Port projects
Resolution required a "review in twelve (12) to eighteen
(18) months after it enters into force"

Implementation
Ensure new Resolution understood and implemented:
Presentations to Port departmental working groups
Formation of a "Wizards" group for questions and issues
involving implementation
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) web page on the Port's
Compass Page
Issues needing clarification or new language

Adding a section on how to handle expense-
funded goods and/or services purchases over
$200,000 in value
Defining more clearly "Ordinary" Maintenance
Replacing and clarifying the term "Authorized

Limitations of Translatable Documents

PDF files are created with text and images are placed at an exact position on a page of a fixed size.
Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
