Hi Dave, Funny...I had dinner with Mike last week and asked if was having speakers at his party on June 6th (which I plan to attend). He didn’t think so and seemed to want things low key. So I told him that since then I wouldn’t be speaking, the two things I would have mentioned that I have noted over the years were his care and concern for his staff, and for the Foreign Flags. He appreciated those observations but now I get to go on record! Thanks for this opportunity. Here you go: “I work for Mike Ehl serving as the Airline Technical Rep (ATR) on the IAF project. In this role Mike admonished me to pay special attention to the needs of our Foreign Flag airlines knowing that Alaska and Delta were well represented at SEA and could speak for themselves. And he often discussed his staff with me noting their strengths and opportunities within the organization. Mike’s true focus was always outward towards others and he was a highly respected leader with character and integrity. We will miss you Mike!” Thnx! Steve Steve Wareham, A.A.E. Alaska Airlines would like to express its sincere appreciation for the support and tireless efforts of Mike Ehl in leading Sea‐Tac airport operations over the last XX years. For many years, Alaska's reputation for delivering consistently high levels of customer service started and/or ended with what the customer experienced at Sea‐Tac, and Mike Ehl's and his team played a pivotal role in that experience. Whether it was helping Alaska find a way to deice in a more efficient location, locate parking spots for its RON aircraft or even helping Alaska's dedicated professionals find a place to park their cars at shift change, Mike has always been more than a great ambassador for the Port, but a true friend to our customers in the region. While we are sad to see such a dedicated and experienced Port asset leave the organization, we wish Mike the absolute best in his retirement. Matthew M. I am lucky to have known Mike for 19 years and I can honestly say that he has been one of the most collaborative, engaging and fair‐minded business partners to the airlines here at Sea‐Tac. Both the Port and the airlines have been fortunate to have Mike’s leadership all these years. His professionalism and commitment to always doing the right thing cannot be underscored enough. Thanks in large part to Mike, one could always rely on having a seat at the table when Airline and Port challenges necessitated. He has always been available to lend an ear or troubleshoot the many tough operational challenges that this job requires. Mike leaves all of us on the cusp of many great things to come here at Sea‐Tac. This airport is better because of the hard work, the vision and dedication Mike brought to his career. Thank you, Mike. Best wishes on your new adventures. Jimmy Masoero Delta Air Lines, Inc. 1
