Activities during the month of September 2012 included: Participated in three Century Agenda outreach events. Held a Commission retreat to discuss the Port's 2013 budget, the Century Agenda, the Commission's 2013 budget and Commission office organizational issues. Met with Federal Maritime Commissioner Mario Cordero. Attended a meeting on the Governor's Container Ports Initiative. Selected outside counsel and an ethics expert to review the CEO's board membership. Participated in a Tourism Mission to the United Kingdom and Germany sponsored by the Port and Seattle's Convention and Visitors Bureau. Spoke at Duwamish 101. Moderated a panel discussion on exports at the Textile Trade Show. Participated in a panel discussion at the 2012 Pacific Northwest Maritime Conference on future maritime workers and maritime employment trends. Participated in a panel discussion at an Economic Development Summit hosted by the South Sound Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition. Attended a Board of Trustees meeting of the Washington Public Ports Association and met with the Port of Vancouver, WA. Co-chaired the Highline Forum. Attended a Freight Mobility Strategic Investment Board meeting. Attended a Transportation Policy Board meeting. Attended a meeting of the Art Oversight Committee. Attended the 130th annual meeting of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce.
