MOTION
OF THE PORT OF SEATTLE COMMISSION
TO RETAIN OUTSIDE COUNSEL IN 2013
STATEMENT IN SUPPORT OF THE MOTION
JANUARY 22, 2013
The Seattle Port Commission ("Commission") has determined it has the occasional need to
consult with outside counsel on matters of concern to the Commission. The final 2013 budget
for the Port of Seattle, which was adopted by Resolution No. 3670 on November 27, 2012,
includes funding for the Commission to retain outside counsel in 2013.
MOTION
The Commission hereby authorizes the Commission to retain attorney Russ Perisho as its outside
counsel in 2013. The Commission may expend up to twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for
these outside legal services. If further funding is required, the Commission will discuss the need
for additional funding in open public session.
