Tourism Marketing Support and Spotlight Airport Advertising Recipients
JULY 2019 Sea-Tac Tourism Spotlight Advertising Program Q2 - Q3 2019 RECIPIENTS Prepared by: Ron Peck and Gail Muller Spotlight SeaTac Airport Advertising Program Originally launched in the fourth quarter of 2017, the Spotlight Program reserves approximately ten percent of advertising sign locations at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for the six cities around Sea-Tac as well as for non-profit tourism related organizations throughout the state to advertise and promote their destinations or attractions to the 50 million travelers. The program allows destinations to highlight local attractions and increase the economic viability of tourism to their community. Awardees are selected on a quarterly basis. For the second and third quarter openings of 2019, we obtained 34 qualified applications (10 more than allocated space) which is a clear indication of the success and interest in the program statewide.
