Maritime Division COVID Response March 24, 2020 Operations Impacted by COVID Priorities: Protecting public health and employee safety Continuing to maintain our critical operations 2 Cruise Dramatic global impacts Operations paused in the US for 30 days, 60 days for Princess, Halted in Canada until July 1. Port of Seattle has already delayed Cruise Season by 2 weeks. Consultation with public health officials: cruise season delayed until the resolution of the public health emergency. We will regularly reevaluate this situation, in conjunction with public health officials and our cruise line partners. 3 Fishing Impacts Fleets continue to fish: enhanced screening for crew Large vessels returning from Pollock Fishery. Salmon fleet preparing for Alaska season. Terminal Operations Adjusted to accommodate social distancing: offices closed to the public. Still providing all essential functions to get fleet on their way 4 Recreational Marinas Implemented social distancing Offices closed: still supporting customers remotely or with on site operations staff. Increased cleaning of restrooms. Local Yacht Clubs have paused racing. 5 Marine Maintenance Team Maintenance: Clean Team enhanced. Increased restroom cleaning Park operations aligned with City Parks Restrooms remain open to serve vulnerable populations Increased cleaning frequency Messaging regarding social distancing Essential work continuing 6 Capital Program Evaluation Evaluating capital program for possible deferments: Status of project and impact of delay Business need: impacted by this crisis Balancing critical positive economic impact of our work Evaluating New Cruise Terminal Project in light of current crisis and impact on global cruise industry Will return with recommendations regarding pausing or deferring the project 7 Recommendations Cruise season delayed during public health emergency Continue provide Essential Operations with minimum staff Evaluate capital program Priorities: Protecting public health and protecting employee safety Continuing to maintain our critical operations 8
