Page 1 of 1 M OTION OF THE P ORT OF S EATTLE C OMMISSION R E - A PPOINTING A NITA R AMASASTRY AS A M EMBER OF THE C OMMISSION E THICS B OARD P ROPOSED M AY 23, 2017 T EXT OF THE M OTION The Port of Seattle Commission, in accordance with Resolution No. 3681, the Port of Seattle re - appoints Professor Anita Ramasastry to serve a three - 7 , and ending June 3, 20 20 . S TATEMENT IN S UPPORT OF THE M OTION and in the Port of Seattle, and promote good governance. To further these goals, the Port of Seattle Commission adopted Resolution No. 3681, a revised Code of Ethics fo r Port Commissioners, on May 14, 2013. composed of three members by majority vote of the Commission “to ensure proper and consistent implementation”of the Code. The Board serves as the formal mechanism to consider all complaints against Port Commissioners and acts as an advisory body to provide guidance on Anita Ramasastry is a Professor of Law at the University of Washington School of Law and Director of the Graduate Program in Sustainable International Development. She is an expert in the fields of anti - corruption, commercial law, sustainable development , and business and human rights. Her current research focuses on legal rights and responsibilities of state - owned enterprises . She has served as a member of the Port Commission’s Board of Ethics since June 4, 2014.
