Activities during the month of February 2013 included: Received 29 applications from individuals interested in being appointed to the Port Commission and heard presentations from the applicants. Hosted two Town Hall meetings for the finalists for the appointment to the vacant position on the Port Commission and met with the two Town Hall moderators. Spoke at a Delta Airlines event kicking off Delta's new international service to China and Japan. Appeared on a panel discussing the proposed sports arena on the Seattle Channel. Was interviewed by KOMO-TV on the Music Initiative. Met with Seattle City Councilmember Sally Bagshaw. Met with Alaska Airlines President Bradley D. Tilden and other AAG officials. Met with Seattle Times journalist Emily Heffter. Met with the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce to discuss a maritime partnership as part of the Century Agenda. Met with the King County Labor Council Executive Secretary Dave Freiboth. Met with UNITE HERE Local 8. Met with the "Truckers Against Trafficking" Committee. Toured a Trident submarine with the SCVB and attended the SCVB annual meeting. Attended a Washington Public Ports Association (WPPA) Board of Directors meeting and, with the WPPA Board, met with Governor Inslee. Attended a Manufacturing Industrial Council SODO Land Use Transportation Group meeting. Attended a meeting of the Seattle Chamber's Policy Council. Attended the DSA's State of the Downtown Economic Forum. Attended a Valley Cities Mayors meeting. Attended the 20th Annual Seafood Symphony. Attended a Propeller Club luncheon.
