PORT OF SEATTLE MEMORANDUM COMMISSION AGENDA Item No. 7a STAFF BRIEFING Date of Meeting September 25, 2012 DATE: September 17, 2012 TO: Tay Yoshitani, Chief Executive Officer FROM: Ralph Graves, Managing Director, Capital Development SUBJECT: Capital Improvement Projects for the Second Quarter, 2012 BACKGROUND: The Commission has received the Capital Improvement Projects Report for the second quarter of 2012. This presentation provides an update o n the status of all projects managed by Aviation Project Management, Seaport Project Management, and Information and Communications Technology that have a reportable condition relating to budget, schedule, or scope. The briefing also provides small business contracting accomplishments. This report is intended to meet the reporting requirements of the Port of Seattle Commission Resolution No. 3605, as amended, and the Commission motion of January 8, 2008, regarding "Report on Major Capital Projects." STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES: This briefing is in compliance with the Port's strategy to "Ensure Airport and Seaport Vitality" through financial performance.
