Port Commission Regular Meeting
of August 8, 2017

Port of Seattle Commissioners
2711 Alaskan Way
Seattle, WA 98121

4800 South 188"1 Street
SeaTac, WA 9818843605
Dear Port Commissioners:
City Hall: 206.973.4800
53023869534338 On behalf of the City of SeaTac, I want to say thanks for earnestly implementing the
' ' '
real estate strategic plan adopted late last year. By moving forward with the
recommendations in that plan, the economic development opportunities the Port
properties represent are being realized by all of us as individual communities and
as a
region.

I also want to acknowledge the great work of
your economic development team in
particular Dave McFadden and Jeffrey Utterback in bringing forward the proposed
lease of the Des Moines Creek North site in SeaTac. Throughout the
process they
worked hard to keep us informed on how the project
was progressing and made sure
that the consultant team scoping the project closely involved the City in the
preparation of their reports and used that information in developing the RFP for the
site.

As you know, the proposed development by Trammel Crow Northwest will
create
more than 356k square feet of high quality, light industrial space with supporting
warehouse functions within two industrial buildings and create hundreds of new
permanent well-paying jobs.
Mayor
Mwhael'j' Slams
We are pleased with the proposed development and the jobs and other economic
Deputy Mayor development benets it will bring to our city. We urge your support for the lease

proposal that will be considered in your meeting of August 8th.

Councilmembers We are also hopeful that the ultimate tenancy and end
users of the space will be more
gg'gbe along the lines of light manufacturing, assembly and processing than heavily weighted
Peter KW, toward warehousing and logistics uses.
Tony Anderson
En'n Sitteey
Once again, thanks to the Port for moving this
property forward to a productive use.
We look forward to working with
you and your staff as other sites in the city - such as
the "L-Shape" and "55 Acre" properties - are also brought onto the market to create
additional opportunities to further both the City's goals and those contained within the
