PORT OF SEATTLE MEMORANDUM COMMISSION AGENDA STAFF BRIEFING Item No. 7b Date of Meeting April 14, 2009 DATE: February 20, 2009 TO: Tay Yoshitani, Chief Executive Officer FROM: Charlie Sheldon, Managing Director, Seaport Division Joe McWilliams, Managing Director, Real Estate Division SUBJECT: Vessel Berthing Guidelines Pier 66 Staff will brief on the current progress for development and implementation of Vessel Berthing Guidelines which would be used in managing the deep-water-moorage-area along the outer face of the Pier 66 (P66) facility, currently under lease with Cruise Terminals of America. These guidelines are the result of collaborative discussions with the Ports primary tenants located at Pier 66 and other local business interests. Staff will go over the process that was used in creating the guidelines and review the governing details to be used in berthing commercial vessels other than cruise ships at P66.
