Box 1209 Seattle, Washington 98111 www.portseattle.org 206.787.3000 APPROVED MINUTES COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING MAY 7-8, 2018 The Port of Seattle Commission held a special meeting, Monday and Tuesday, May 7 and 8, 2018, as a commission retreat session. The retreat was held at Cedarbrook Lodge, 18525 Thirty-Sixth Avenue South, SeaTac, Washington. Commissioners Bowman, Calkins, Felleman, Gregoire, and Steinbrueck were present. The meeting convened at approximately 1:30 p.m. and recessed at about 6:30 p.m. on May 7, and convened again at about 8:30 a.m. on May 8. Commissioners and members of the Executive Leadership Team discussed executive director priorities, commission committee work for 2018, and government affairs timelines and priority issues for the year. Communication planning with key themes for 2018 was considered. Information was shared concerning key action highlights for the Port of Seattle and the Northwest Seaport Alliance and budget planning schedules. Executive panel review of the International Arrivals Facility was summarized, and airport financial forecasts, including impacts of sustainable airport master planning, were explored. Barbara Grant of the Barbara Grant Consulting Group facilitated a conversation on commission effectiveness. The commission retreat concluded by 5:30 p.m. Prepared: Attest: Paul J.
