Current baggage handling system has six separate outbound systems.

Project Overview 


Baggage Optimization will be constructed as three separate phases.

Scope of Work 
Expand centralized baggage screening area in the airport's Central
Terminal and replace conveyor systems to the north portion of the
bagwell 
Construct the final baggage sortation matrix 
Move concession storages to final locations 
Move maintenance shop to their permanent location 
Add screening capacity with more Explosive Detection Systems (EDS)
machines 
Increase Checked Baggage Resolution Area (CBRA) capacity 
Add more capacity to the South Satellite baggage system 
Phase 2 will build upon Phase 1
