Meeting01W
Good afternoon, Commissioners:
-.___.

"I am Kurt Beecher Dammeier and my company is called Sugar Mountain. I am the
founder and owner of Beecher's Handmade Cheese.

I am really excited to bring this true Seattle concept to the residents of the Puget
Sound who travel through the airport, and also the millions of visitors who come to
here every year.

We are passionate about cheese and passionate about good food. We think that our
special combination of handmade cheese, gourmet foods, fruit, wine and coffee will
be unique for Sea-Tac Airport. We're proud to say that all of our food is pure, all-
natural, full-avored and handmade with the freshest ingredients possible.

All of our cheeses, and the meats and vegetables and other foods we use are chosen
with care and with a desire to support local, small-scale suppliers. All of our cheese,
for example, is made from healthy, well-treated cows on a farm in Duvall.

Besides great food, we equally value our employees. We strive to provide good jobs
with opportunities for growth and advancement. We pay competitive wages, offer
benefits and retirement plans.

In addition to our restaurants, we also manage a non-profit foundation called the
Flagship Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to educate fourth to sixth
grade students on healthy food choices. All Sugar Mountain businesses contribute
1% of all sales to the work of the foundation. This year alone the foundation will
teach this free program to over 9,000 kids in Washington State.

In closing, I would like to ask the Commission for approval of this opportunity for
Beecher's to open at Sea-Tac Airport. I would also request to have this statement
submitted for the record.

Thank you.
