COMMISSION AGENDA Item No. 5b
Date of Meeting Date of Meeting January 10, 2012
DATE: December 22, 2011
TO: Tay Yoshitani, Chief Executive Officer
FROM: Craig Watson, General Counsel
SUBJECT: Motion Authorizing the Sale of Port Personal Property by the Chief Executive Officer in
2012
ACTION REQUESTED:
Request Commission renewal for 2012, by motion, of the authority of the Chief Executive Officer to sell
and convey Port District Personal property of $10,000 or less in value in accordance with RCW
53.08.090 and Section 18 of Resolution No. 3605, as amended.
BACKGROUND:
Pursuant to RCW 53.08.090, a port commission may, by resolution renewed from year to year, authorize
the managing officer of a port district to sell and convey port district personal property of $10,000 or
less in value. Section 18 of Resolution No. 3605, as amended, provides that the annual renewal of the
Chief Executive Officer's authority may be accomplished by motion. It is now the appropriate time for
the Commission to renew the Chief Executive Officer's authority for the year 2012.
