As a duly elected Port of Seattle Commissioner, I am responsible for ensuring that the Port of
Seattle, a public agency located in King County, conducts its business in the open in compliance
with Washington State's Open Meetings Act, Chap. 42.30 RCW.

In fulllment ofmy duties to the Commission as a body, and in recognition ofmy
responsibilities as an elected ofcial serving the citizens of King County, I give my personal
commitment to fostering and maintaining a culture of accountability and transparency within the
Commission, among Port of Seattle employees, and between the Port of Seattle and King
County's citizens.

State of Washington's Open Public Meetings Act, and to conducting the business of governing
the Port of Seattle in public. As Commissioner, I will support and advance policies and practices

deliberations to appropriate annual review. Also, I will seek opportunities to increase the
public's access to Commission deliberations, including but not limited to holding public
meetings at locations around King County. The purpose and intent of these efforts, in every
case, will be to expand citizen participation in Port discussions as the Open Public Meetings Act
intends.
