Hello and good afternoon,

- My name is Dan Bent and I'm a small business owner. l
have a strong interest in having a business in the airport
which would make me a stake holder.

My comments are around Worker retention; labor a very
serious topic for a small business owner.


- I had the great opportunity to be a part of the stake holder
meetings. Thanks to the Airport concessions staff for
reaching out to the community and inviting me to the stalk
holder meeting.


- At one of the gteglkholder meetings l was a little confused

as to the reason for the Union attending the meeting. I
thought the meeting was for business persons to give
feedback on improving and simplifying the RFP
process.

- l was thinking to myself, is the union interested in a space
for a business also.

I was thinking are they going to take out a 2""I mortgage on
their homes to cover build out costs? As man bus'

owner have done. What is theirfinanm
get loans for investments? What is their investment? or

- I do understand what their investment is, its union
members, that's what pays their bills.

- It seems that the cart is being put before the horse here
and little bit of bulling possible.

With some small understanding of a simple business
model process. Wouldn't the union agreements come at
the end of the process? After contracts are awarded to
business and the businesses are in place. And wouldn't the

agreements be between business owners and the union,
not the port? And wouldn't it only come into play if any
associate(s) are interested, because they do have a choice
and so does a business owner when starting up a business.

I wouldn't think that the port gets involved in agreements
with the airline union contracts, maybe they do I've been

wrong before maybe once or twice that is. Not sure why
they would.

It seemed above and beyond the call of duty that the Port
allowed or invited the Union which is a 3rd party stalk
holder to be a part of the business stalk holder meetings.

I want to clarify the 3rd party stalk holder comment. To
me
without a business being in place. There is no stalk in the

game for the union.

One last comment; food for thought I would ask everyone

to support your small local business and work together to
make our country strong. Please support small business
