SUBJECT: Special Order of Business: Presentation of US flag flown over Capitol on Port

One hundred years ago, on September 5, 1911, the voters of King County approved the creation
of the Port of Seattle. Tom Young, Congressman Dave Reichert's Deputy District Director, will
present the Port of Seattle a United States flag flown over the US Capitol on September 5, 2011,
in honor of the Port's Centennial.
Members of Congress may request the flying of flags over the US Capitol to honor special
occasions for constituents in their districts. Congressman Reichert is serving his fourth term
representing Washington State's Eighth Congressional District, which includes portions of King
County. He serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, with appointments to the Trade
and Health subcommittees.

Limitations of Translatable Documents

PDF files are created with text and images are placed at an exact position on a page of a fixed size.
Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
