PORT OF SEATTLE MEMORANDUM COMMISSION AGENDA Item No. 5d Date of Meeting Date of Meeting January 25, 2011 DATE: January 14, 2010 TO: Tay Yoshitani, Chief Executive Officer FROM: Craig Watson, General Counsel SUBJECT: Motion Authorizing the Sale of Port Personal Property by the Chief Executive Officer in 2011 ACTION REQUESTED: Authorization, by motion, for the Chief Executive Officer to sell and convey Port District personal property of $10,000 or less in value for 2011 in accordance with RCW 53.08.090. BACKGROUND: Pursuant to RCW 53.08.090, a Port commission may, by resolution renewed from year to year, authorize the managing officer of a port district to sell and convey port district personal property of $10,000 or less in value. Section 18 of Resolution No. 3605, as Amended, provides that the annual renewal of the Chief Executive Officer's authority may be accomplished by motion. It is now the appropriate time for the Commission to renew the Chief Executive Officer's authority to the year 2011.
