RESOLUTION NO. 3743


A RESOLUTION   of the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle authorizing the Executive Director

to sell and convey Port personal property in 2018 in accordance with RCW

53.08.090 with a value not greater than $19,000.

WHEREAS, the voters of King County, pursuant to the provisions of enabling legislation

adopted by the legislature of the State of Washington, Chapter 92, 'Laws of 1911, RCW 53.040.010,

authorized and approved at a special election held in King County on the 5th day of September 1911, the

formation of a port district co-extensive with King County to be known as the Port of Seattle; and

WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle was thereupon established as a port district and has since been

and now is a duly authorized and acting port district of the State of Washington; and

WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle ("Port") owns personal property and, from time to time, may sell

or convey such property pursuant to RCW 53.08.090;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle, as

follows:

Section 1:      The Port Commission of the Port of Seattle hereby delegates to the Executive

Director of the Port of Seattle the authority to sell and convey Port personal property of a value

established annually by resolution.

Section 2:      The value of Port personal property that may be sold and conveyed by the

Executive Director in 2018, in accordance with Section 1, shall be $19,000.00 or less, per occurrence.

Section 3:      Pursuant to RCW 53.08.090, the Port Commission may annually renew the

Executive Director's authority under this resolution and adjust the property value limit under Section 2

based on the governmental price index established by the Washington State Department of Revenue.

ADOPTED by the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle, at a duly noticed meeting held this

9th day of January, 2018, and duly authenticated in open session by the signatures of the Commissioners

voting in favor thereof and the seal of the Commission.
