MINUTES sxruan" i5 Port Commissienwl I ' {to 6 . December21, 2015 Meeting of Port of Seattle. Commissioners PO Box 1209 Seattte WA 98111 RE: City of SeaTac I Port of Seattle w Interlocal Agreement Dear Commissioners, As councilmembers-elect of the SeaTac City Council, we respectfully request that you refrain from approving the currently proposed extension of the City of SeaTac/Pcirt of Seattle lnterlocal Agreement (ILA). We believe it violates the cooperative relationship and objectives of trust and good faith called for in the ILA itself, to approve an agreement against the wishes of a majority of City Council members, who will hold office over the next four years. (See ILA: EXHIBIT C: lNTERAGENCY COOPERATION & DEVELOPMENT COMMITMENTS, sections 1.2 and 9.1) Since the existing agreement does not expire until mid February 2016. we see no positive reason for entering an agreement with an outgoing City Council, without the - opportunity for the incoming City Council to review it and consider its ramifications. Especially a mere few days ahead of the transition of power and via special meetings called by both parties. It has the appearance of impropriety. In the interest of maintaining a good relationship with the incoming City Council, please do not approve the agreement at this time. Sincerely, Rick F,0 chleyon1 - P6 ' Reta-rem n, ,/ / Erin Sittelrle g Position 7 (CA/th gaff/hwy "s cc: Craig Watson, Port of Seattle General Counsel
