A. 1. Who am I and why am I here?

2. l have been a Business member in the City of SeaTac sense 1957

3. The Port of Seattle recommended me to set onthe King County's SeaTac area Up Date plan
1998588 approved 1989

4. I am a Member of the SR 509 Steering Community from inception to present funding
package.

5. I am a Member and past chair of the City of SeaTac Planning Commission from mid 1993~ to
present.

B. I am here to speak about the SeaTac Community's interest regarding the Sustainability of the
City's Planned Angle Lake Station Area

1. This Community Plan has been accepted by the Sound Transit, who has helped the City in
creating a new common Gathering Plaza at the new Light Rail Station to help in the City Goals of creating
the best T.O.D.

2. The Private and Public sectors have partnered on the New 24/28th Ave. Boulevard that will

serve both the Port's Des Moines redevelopment and the New Light Rail Station

3. SR 509 will drop off adjoining the new Angle lake Light Rail Site to assist in traffic circulation
around the new planned Commercial investment at the Station Area

4. The Private Sector will be stepping up its Commercial investments, the example being
Wright Runstand & Company is doing there Master planning with NBBJ

5. And finally the Port of Seattle has been a contributor in this Station Area Plan with its
adjacent land at the Angle Lake Station Area to encourage Economic Development, and had recently
'
signed a long term lease for a competing bid for the FAA Regional Headquarters, which would have
added great synergy to the additional compatible uses around the Angle Lake Station Area (of course it

went to your other development in Des Moines

C. Here is the "house keeping "language that 1 am seeking here to put into the amendment to the

ILA extension agreement.

The Port agrees to leave that portion of Property that has been identified in the City of SeaTac's
adopted Angle Lake Station Area Pian, so that it can be used in compatible T.0.D. development
purposes, thus supporting the Seatac Airport's host City, and keeping with the new Century goal of
creatingjobs, and Supporting the surrounding Community's in this Partnership

I hope the Commission feels as I do that this is not over reaching but instead gives certainty to
the City and its Citizens and the Investment Community
