Box 40021 Olympia, Washington 98504-0021 Dear Auditor Sonntag, Attached please find the Port of Seattle's first and final status report for the 2009 performance audit of real estate management and selected program performance. We appreciate the opportunity to provide this update. recommendations in the audit report. The port is in the midst ofa multi-year strategic planning process called the Century Agenda. Designed to be finalized during this, our centennial year, the final Century Agenda report will contain strategic objectives for the next 25 years. We will submit a copy of that report to your office. We hope that you or a member of your staff will join us at two of the upcoming Century Agenda panels: Putting Our Real Estate Assets to Work, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 11; and Funding Strategic Goals, tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, November 8. Both panels will be held at the port's administrative offices at Pier 69. We will follow up with you closer to the date of these two panels with the details. ' In addition, Resolution No. 3605, which governs how commission authority is delegated throughout the organization, is undergoing a regular periodic review. When that review is complete, we will send the revised resolution for your records. As we have noted to you previously, the audit process was collaborative and positive and the organization will benefit from many of the auditors' suggestions.
