I have come before you to ask for the reasoning behind of the decision to not allow houseboats or
housebarges to remain as live aboards at Salmon Bay Marina. There is no difference between my boat
and my neighbor's boat except the shape of the bows of our boats. I've included pictures of my boat
and my neighbor's boat as examples.

1) Both vessels are licensed thru the state of Wa as pleasure craft.
2) Both have been inspected and approved as vessels by the United States Coast Guard.
3) My vessel holds an additional license which is the designation of Floating On Water Residence
(FOWR) through the City of Seattle.
4) My vessel has a motor which is in running conditions as does my neighbor.
5) We both have steering stations and all running lights.
6) The only difference is the shape of the bows of our vessels. My is square and his is pointed.

As you can see, the only difference between these vessels is the shape of the bows. Yet my neighbor
would be allowed to be a live aboard indenitely at SBM but I 'm being evicted in 3 years with absolutely
no hope of anywhere to go. I have been given no reasonable explanation of this decision.

When pressed, Ms. Jones Stubbins stated that this was the decision that they had made. In essence she
is saying that I am losing my home of 12 years because she says so. That line of reasoning never worked

on my kids and it really won't work with me.

I am asking you to reverse this discriminatory, arbitrary, completely unreasonable and devastating
decision so that I and my neighbors are not forced into homelessness in 2021.
