Aircraft Safety and Guidance System
Visual docking guidance and ramp information display.
Guides pilot to nose stop saving fuel & reducing congestion.
Scans ramp area for obstacles to aircraft docking.
Docks planes following adjacency rules and can dock without
personnel (unavailable ground crew, bad weather).

Mounted on/near stairwells, on
buildings, on posts, or on jet-bridges.
Connected to power and network.

Scope
Decommission and remove existing mounting hardware and outdated Safedock and
Ramp Information Display units.
Install Safedock units with video cameras and apron scanning at the B, C, and D
Concourses and the South Satellite.
Provide the network connectivity to allow data and gate usage metrics gathered
from the A-VDGS units to feed into a centralized database for use by staff and the
airlines.
Re-route existing network cabling from local communication rooms to STIA's newly
installed micro-distribution cabinets.
Testing and commissioning of all systems, software, user interfaces and data
collection.

Limitations of Translatable Documents

PDF files are created with text and images are placed at an exact position on a page of a fixed size.
Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
