Commissioners,
I am Laura Gibbons, a Seattle resident and a member of the 350 Seattle Aviation Team. I am unable to
testify at the meeting today so I hope you will consider this email.
I assume that you are concerned about climate change and want to keep the planet habitable for
humans. Your efforts to make SEATAC more energy-efficient suggest that this is true.
One of the problems with public testimony is the lack of dialog, so it's not clear to me why you are still
planning to expand capacity at SEATAC, when more flights would exacerbate climate change.
Is it that you don't think that flying contributes to climate change? As I suggested at the previous meeting,
you could do your own calculations about the climate impact of the fuel uploaded at SEATAC. If you don't
have the staff for that, just tell me the total fuel uploaded and I'll figure it out.
Honestly, I don't know what is keeping you from acting. Can you let me know what the obstacles are? My
email is below.
Sincerely,
Laura Gibbons

PDF files are created with text and images are placed at an exact position on a page of a fixed size.
Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
