Port Commissioners:

I am writing to strongly recommend you approve to Execute an Interagency Agreement with the
Washington State Department of Commerce for the $5,000,000 grant offered by the Clean Energy Fund
Program to fund Fishermen's Terminal Maritime Innovation Center.

It was in 2016 that I first toured the Seattle Ship Supply Building and realized what an incredible 'hidden
gem' the building was and the previous decision to tear the building down needed to be rescinded. I
began referring to it as the original Port HQ and that needed to be protected and restored, in recognition
of the place Fishermen's Terminal resides in Seattle's maritime history.

Though no longer at the Port of Seattle, I have great memories of my time there and am happy to see the
dream I had years ago is still alive and well and the Port is moving ahead with this incredible project.

Best of luck, stay safe, and happy holidays!
