Links or attachments may be unsafe. Commissioners, What is the job of the Port of Seattle? I thought it was to facilitate the movement of commercial products and people. Now it appears to be the endless "more is better" economic development concept and protecting a slowly dying industry like jet plane travel. King County and the Puget Sound area does not need endless growth and the concomitant destruction of salmon habitat and destruction of forested areas cramming more and more people into smaller and smaller apartments at more and more expensive prices. Nor do we need increasing jet landings polluting our skies and rivers and damaging the health of adults and children. The POS should be seeking alternatives - not making our problems worse. Solutions are there. Hyperloop is a major solution to our jet problems and affordable housing problems . Just as railroads replaced wagon trains Hyperloop will replace the vast majority of jets. Every new Hyperloop line built will eliminate jet travel between those cites and road travel as well. Ohio State and New York and Illinois are seriously looking at just that now. The movement of cargo and people at 700mph will revolutionize our economy and living standards and facilitate closing the increasing wealth gap and equity gaps we see today. So why is the POS hanging on to a past that is eventually doomed to decay? Why can't the POS at the LEAST invite representatives from Hyperloop companies like Virgin Hyperloop and tunneling companies like The Boring Company to give a presentation on the possibilities of building Hyperloop ? Then we can turn SeaTac Airport into SeaTac Hyperport? We need a conference! Sincerely, Earnest Thompson Normandy Park City Council Sent from my iPad
