Dear Port Commissioner,
As a Master of Public Health and climate justice activist, I urge you to halt the rollout
of cruise ships. Not only are they a public health hazard, as we saw with the notorious
Diamond Princess, they are harmful to every thing they encounter, from humans to
animals to water and air. Making a "green port" is impossible due to the hazards of
the cruise ships themselves, not to mention the transportation of passengers to and
from the ports. It's time to prioritize health over profit.
