COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING JANUARY 12, 2023
The Port of Seattle Commission met in a special meeting Thursday, January 12, 2023. The meeting
was held at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Conference Center, located at 17801
International Blvd, Seattle WA, Mezzanine Level, Seattle, Washington. Commissioners Calkins, Cho,
Felleman, Hasegawa, and Mohamed were present.
CALL to ORDER
Pursuant to RCW 42.30 and Article IV, Section 8, of the commission bylaws, the meeting convened
at 9:45 a.m. for the purpose of holding a Commission Organizing Retreat for 2023. Members of the
Executive Leadership Team; Aaron Pritchard, Commission Chief of Staff; and Commission Office
staff joined for the session.
Meeting Objective: Review 2023 ED Priorities; Review Public Relations and Communications Plan
for 2023; and Commissioner Alignment and Organization.
The session began with a technical adaptive exercise facilitated by Julie Pham of Curiosity Based.
(The retreat recessed at 11:45 a.m. for a lunch break and reconvened at 12:15 p.m.)
Commission President Cho reconvened the retreat with opening remarks for the year ahead.
Executive Director Metruck presented information regarding review of 2022 Century Agenda Key
Performance Indicators and discussed his priorities for 2023 in alignment with Commission priorities.
Members of the Commission then discussed their key goals for 2023.
External Relations presented their communications and events plan for the year.
Commissioners ended the retreat by discussing committee assignments for the coming year, as well
as travel and conference schedules.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.

Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
