SEATTLE -- The Port of Seattle Century Agenda Committee will
convene a Special Meeting from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
August 9, 2011, at Port of Seattle Headquarters, Commission
Chambers, Pier 69, 2711 Alaskan Way, Seattle, W ashington. The
meeting will be audio and video recorded to be accessible during or
after the meeting.

The meeting will feature a roundtable discussion on “ Achieving Our
Environmental Values.” Our panelists will engage in a robust discussion
o n how the Port of Seattle can best balance the revenue- generating
activities of the Port while sustaining and advancing our environmental
efforts which are so important to maintaining the quality of life in our
region.

This r oundtable is part of the final stage of the Port’s three-year
strategic planning process called the Century Agenda. This stage will
establish long- range strategic goals for the next quarter-century. As the
year progresses, the Committee is hosting regular roundtables with
experts to publicly discuss the big questions that drive the Port’s
direction in pursuit of its mission of economic development – generating
jobs, minimizing our env ironmental footprint, anchoring urban industrial
lands, and wisely stewarding the public’s tax dollars.
