SUBJECT:  2016 Maritime Division Operating and Capital Budgets Briefing 

SYNOPSIS: 
The purpose of this briefing is to discuss the proposed 2016 Maritime Division Operating
and Capital budgets with the Commission. 
BACKGROUND: 
In June, staff presented the 2016-2020 Maritime Division Business Plan to the Port
Commission. In the briefing, staff provided background on the industry and business
context, summarized maritime strategies, and highlighted the major and new initiatives
that would impact the 2016 budget.
On October 13, 2015 staff will brief the Commission on the Maritime Division Operating
and Capital proposed budgets.
