The hard working members of the East African Community migrated from 8 different countries ofEastern Africa. A significant number of immigrants (including Ethiopians) from the East African region earn their living with jobs provided by the port. The Board of Directors ofThe Ethiopian Community in Seattle is highly grateful for all the job opportunities the Port provided for our immigrant families. This has resulted in the creation ofa stable, healthy and productive community of East African Origin. It is our sincere hope that the port will continue treating all migrant Owners and operators in the transport industry in the usual fair and equitable ways.
