Re: Port support ofTaxis, For Hires and Other Minority Business
Dear Seattle Port Commissioners,
The Ethiopian Community in Seattle (ECS) appreciates the Port
Commissions support for the African immigrant owners and drivers of
Taxis, For Hires and TNC. The hard working members of the East African
Community migrated from 8 different countries ofEastern Africa. A
significant number of immigrants (including Ethiopians) from the East
African region earn their living with jobs provided by the port.
The Board of Directors ofThe Ethiopian Community in Seattle is highly
grateful for all the job opportunities the Port provided for our immigrant
families. This has resulted in the creation ofa stable, healthy and
productive community of East African Origin.
It is our sincere hope that the port will continue treating all migrant
Owners and operators in the transport industry in the usual fair and
equitable ways.

Limitations of Translatable Documents

PDF files are created with text and images are placed at an exact position on a page of a fixed size.
Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
