SUBJECT:  Special Order of Business  Commission Activities Report 
At the first Commission meeting of every month, the Commission will note its major
activities of the previous month. Activities during the month of October 2012 included: 
Highlighted the Century Agenda Initiatives as the "presenting sponsor" of the
annual 2012 Regional Leadership Conference. 
Participated in the Governor's Trade Mission to India and South Korea and the
subsequent Governor's reception for trade mission members. 
Served as a panelist at the meeting of the Joint Transportation Committee on the
"basketball arena in SODO." 
Spoke at the Washington Public Ports Association's (WPPA) Environmental
Seminar on the Port's "Green Ports" Initiative. 
Spoke at the ceremony celebrating ANA's inaugural Dreamliner/787 service
between Tokyo and Seattle. 
Spoke at the Delta Airlines media event, co-hosted with Alaska Airlines,
announcing Delta's new service to Shanghai and Tokyo/Haneda and introducing
Delta's upgraded aircraft and customer enhancements. 
Spoke at a reception hosted by the Port of Seattle and the member lines of the
Northwest & Canada Cruise Association and the Alaska Cruise Association. 
Spoke at a plaque ceremony recognizing the inaugural call of Cosco's M.V.
Guangzhou (9,600 TEUs) at Terminal 46 (2nd largest vessel ever to visit the Port). 
Provided welcoming remarks for Cargo 101. 
Participated by teleconference in a WPPA Board of Trustees meeting. 
Attended a media event announcing the results of the 2011 Puget Sound Maritime
Emissions Inventory. 
Attended a Joint Advisory Committee meeting with the City of SeaTac. 
Attended Puget Sound Partnership's Ecosystem Coordination Board meeting. 
Attended a Transportation Policy Board meeting.

PDF files are created with text and images are placed at an exact position on a page of a fixed size.
Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
