Date of Meeting March 06, 2012
DATE: February 13, 2012
TO: Tay Yoshitani, Chief Executive Officer
FROM: Marie Fritz, Manager, Cruise Services & Business Development
SUBJECT: Terminal 91 - Neighbors' Advisory Committee 2011 Annual Report and
Chairperson Nomination

The Terminal 91 Neighbors' Advisory Committee (NAC) is composed of representatives of the
Magnolia Community Club and Queen Anne Community Council. Together with
representatives of the Port of Seattle, the NAC operates within the terms of the Terminal 91
Short Fill Redevelopment Agreement (as amended 1985 and 1998). The Committee meets on
the third Wednesday of each month at Pier 69. The NAC greatly appreciates the opportunity to
give a short overview of the 2011 Annual Report to the Commission.
The 2011 Annual Activity Report has been prepared for presentation to the Port Commission and
executives by the NAC Chairperson, Bruce Laing. The significant ongoing issues for the group
are the viaduct replacement, cruise operations, Terminal 91 Uplands Development and traffic.
According to the Short Fill Redevelopment Agreement as amended 1998, which established the
NAC, the Neighbors Advisory Committee Chairperson is nominated by the Commission and
approved by the Magnolia Community Club and the Queen Anne Community Council. Port staff
requests the Commission to accept the attached letter as the Port of Seattle Commission action to
nominate Mr. Bruce Laing to continue in his role as chair for the Neighborhood Advisory Board.
Mr. Laing has acted as Chairman since 2007.
