2016 11 01 Sm Exhibit A
November 1, 2016 Comments by Kitty Milne re the removal of trees at SeaTac Airport Good Evening and thank you for the opportunity to have input about yet another proposal by the POS that signicantly affects our local communities. I have lived in Burien for 44 years; and in our neighborhood that is parallel to the ight paths. we never heard any airport noise until the 3ml runway was constructed. The heavily wooded area along 12'" Avenue that acted as a sound barrier for our neighborhoods was destroyed, lled in 200 feet high, and placed all that sound high above us to just roll out over our communities. How many mature trees did you remove for the 3'd runway? And here you are again, wanting to take out hundreds more mature trees that will not only result in even more noise, but also will drastically change the ecology of our communities and affect not only people, but also the ora and fauna that cohabit with those trees. I strongly urge the POS to think very carefully about the consequences before going through with this project. and | request that the City of SeaTac require an EIS before this project is allowed to proceed as proposed. I would suggest that you spend some time looking for a sight for a new airport that is very much needed instead of looking for more ways to harm our already impacted communities. Thank You.
