SUBJECT:   Vessel Berthing Guidelines  Pier 66 

Staff will brief on the current progress for development and implementation of Vessel Berthing
Guidelines which would be used in managing the deep-water-moorage-area along the outer face of the
Pier 66 (P66) facility, currently under lease with Cruise Terminals of America. These guidelines are the
result of collaborative discussions with the Ports primary tenants located at Pier 66 and other local
business interests. 
Staff will go over the process that was used in creating the guidelines and review the governing details to
be used in berthing commercial vessels other than cruise ships at P66.

Limitations of Translatable Documents

PDF files are created with text and images are placed at an exact position on a page of a fixed size.
Web pages are fluid in nature, and the exact positioning of PDF text creates presentation problems.
PDFs that are full page graphics, or scanned pages are generally unable to be made accessible, In these cases, viewing whatever plain text could be extracted is the only alternative.
