Minutes Exhibit B

Minutes Exhibit B
Port Commission Regular Meeting
of June 26. 2018

Dear Commissioners

I would like to thank you on behalf of my neighbors and myself for your speedy resolution to vacate all
those eviction notices last winter. That was a great relief. l am also pleased with the movement by the
Port as shown by the Revised Live aboard policy.

I feel that there is still more work to be done however. I am asking that the Port Commissioners
investigate several other matters.

1) I am asking that the Commissioners rewrite the regulations to exclude all houseboats, house
barges and FOWRS from the navigability requirement.
2) I am also asking that the discriminatory nature of your live aboard policy be rewritten to allow
all live a boards to be residents regardless of the design or shape of our vessels.
3) I am asking to be informed as to the name of the individual or individuals who are responsible
for making these policy decisions. This will save time as I and my fellow tenants can deal with
them directly.
4) The clause in our new lease agreements not allowing the live aboard status of the slip to
transfer with the future sale of my houseboat makes my investment worth nothing. This is
completely unacceptable.
5) Given the Revised Live a board policy, which states that only people from the waiting list can get
slips that become available, the only person I can sell my houseboat to is someone off the top of
the waiting list.
6) This policy runs contrary to all acceptable standards practiced by private marinas in my
neighborhood and I believe it is NOT followed at Shilshole marina.
7) How can I, in good conscious, sign a lease that ruins my nancial future?
8) How can sign something that I haven't even been able to read?
9) What amount of moorage will I owe on July 1?

As you can see, the handling of the turn over of the marina management has been sloppy to say the
least. I am including my email address this time if you didn't have a chance to retain it from my last
written communication.

Thanks Susie Schulmeyer
