1                                                 RESOLUTION NO. 3769

3     A RESOLUTION         of the Port of Seattle Commission authorizing the Executive Director to
4                                sell and convey port personal property in 2020 in accordance with RCW
5                                53.08.090 with a value not greater than $19,000 and repealing Resolution
6                                No. 3756, dealing with the same subject.

8              WHEREAS, the voters of King County, pursuant to the provisions of enabling legislation
9     adopted by  the  legislature  of the  State  of  Washington,  Chapter  92,  Laws  of  1911,  RCW
10    53.040.010, authorized and approved at a special election held in King County on the 5th day of
11    September 1911, the formation of a port district co-extensive with King County to be known as
12    the Port of Seattle; and

14            WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle was thereupon established as a port district and has since
15    been and now is a duly authorized and acting port district of the State of Washington; and 
16 
17            WHEREAS, the Port of Seattle owns personal property and, from time to time, may sell
18    or convey such property pursuant to RCW 53.08.090;

20            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle as
21    follows:

23            Section 1. The Port Commission of the Port of Seattle hereby delegates to the Executive
24    Director of the Port of Seattle the authority to sell and convey port personal property of a value
25    established annually by resolution.

27            Section 2. The value of Port personal property that may be sold and conveyed by the
28    Executive Director in 2020, in accordance with Section 1, shall be $19,000.00 or less, per
29    occurrence.

31            Section 3. Pursuant to RCW 53.08.090, the port commission may annually renew the
32    Executive Director's authority under this resolution and adjust the property value limit under
33    Section 2 based on the governmental price index established by the Washington State
34    Department of Revenue.

36            Section 4. Resolution No. 3756, dealing with the same subject, is hereby repealed.

38            ADOPTED by the Port Commission of the Port of Seattle, at a duly noticed meeting held
39    this 11th day of February, 2020, and duly authenticated in open session by the signatures of the
40    Commissioners voting in favor thereof and the seal of the Commission.
