Environment & Sustainability COE

Energy/Air Emissions 
Advocacy work for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard will be pared back for 2020 and shifted (as
much as possible) to 2021 
Work on the airline "roadmap" for carbon reduction will be delayed 
Delay the Seattle Waterfront Clean Energy Strategic Plan process  pause the process until fall or
2021. 
Cut the cruise emissions study and cut building energy tune-ups (with SCL approval). 
Cut maritime travel - may impact our ability to engage in the national and international
dialogues and coordinated approaches. 
Sustainable Evaluation Framework 
Because we are not filling the Sustainable Project Framework positions, we cannot fully deliver
the new policy and program. Reduce level of effort. 
Reporting and Recognition 
We are scaling back the Environmental Excellence Awards, Earth Day efforts and promotions
and sponsorships. 
Internships 
Cut college internships for this year. 
Aviation 
Noise 
Single-family residential sound insulation work will be suspended until 2021 
Condominium sound insulation work will be delayed at least several months 
The sound insulation acceleration program will not be structured until 2021 
Technical support for StART will be reduced substantially in 2020 
Portable monitoring will be reduced to two units, with the other three delayed 
Sustainability 
TMA development will be delayed to 2021 
Airport Carbon Accreditation for 2020 will be cancelled 
Environmental Review 
Publication of the SAMP Near-Term Projects Draft EA may be delayed to Q1 2021

Habitat 
Delay of Orca Underwater Noise Reduction work  pause this work for 3-6 months. 
Delay the shoreline condition assessment and other restoration work 
Reduce the dollars toward community stewardship of restoration sites. 
Delay the restoration of the Gateway/8th N restoration. 
Compliance 
Reduce environmental compliance audits by 50%. 
Respond to delays in proposed cruise terminal with delay in environmental review. 
Stormwater 
Delay T18  outfall repair and replacement to 2021 
Delay slip-line system renewal CIP and Small Cap projects - T91 line repair, T25 oil/water
separator, T46 pipe replacement, would plan to conduct in 2021 
Reduce dock and plaza cleaning and delaying re-assessment of stormwater infrastructure
